Sweet bread Christmas tree

Merry Christmas


This is my favorite time of the year and the one time that I love winter. Love the whole atmosphere.

Ingredients for Sweet bread Christmas tree

For the dough:
400 gr flour
2 eggs
110 ml milk
25 gr fresh yeast
3 T sugar
grated orange zest
For the topping:
50 gr butter
1 t cinnamon
1/4 t nutmeg
6 T sugar
walnuts and M&M’s for decorating


How to make Sweet bread Christmas Tree

Put the yeast and the sugar in the warm milk and set aside for five minutes.
Place in a deep bowl de flour,eggs and orange zest. Add the milk mixture and make a dough.

Place the dough on the working table,which is dusted with flour.
Make a rectangle and add the mixed topping ingredients and sprinkle with walnuts. Roll the dough and cut in 3 cm pieces. The part which is on the pan can be dipped in a sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Place in the baking pan and leave aside until doubled in size.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Decorate with walnuts and M&M’s.
