Olivier Salad
I came accross this salad in Iran, but it’s very similar to the Romanian salad boeuf and I think both have their origins in the Russian Olivier salad. Sounds complicated? It’s not, think of the American potato salad and add a few more ingredients. Gingerbread House
Here I’ve used my Gingerbread and Royal icing recipes some candies and lots of patience and imagination. I googled a template and got to work. Best fun I ever had in the kitchen. Assembly was not that easy,as sometimes the house broke down, walls fell, but it can be fixed, you kind of learn as you go. Try it ,especially if you have kids, my little called this one „Dream House”.. Now, who wouldn’t want to live in a house like this one!

Gingerbread
Gingerbread Recipe Ingredients for Gingerbread 400 gr flour 50 gr unt, at room temperature 2 eggs 1/2 cup honey 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 t ginger, powdered 1 t fresh ginger, grated 1/4 t nutmeg 1 t cinnamon 1 t baking soda 1/4 t salt How to make Gingerbread In a bowl mix the dry ingredients. In another bowl, mix butter and sugar, add honey and eggs. Add the mixture to the dry ingredients and make a dough of the consistency of playdough. Put in the refrigerator for an hour. Cheese Truffles
This was supposed to be on the Easter table, remembered about it the next day, it was great since the aromas had a chance to mix. I think it’s a pretty appetizer, being so easy to make puts it on my regular list. Basically it’s a mix of cheeses with a softer texture. I’m not sure one of the main ingredient I use, a sheep cheese it’s available everywhere. The other one I used it’s feta,so use anything that can make a mixture easy to work with and form the balls.
