Monkey Bread

Here comes something that I made for the first time and I had no idea what to really expect. It’s sticky but so delicious, it must be from the quite big amount of cinnamon and it has to be eaten hot or warm.

Ingredients for Monkey Bread

1/4 cup warm water
2 1/2 t dried yeast
3 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 t salt
vanilla essence
3 T sugar
1 egg
2 T butter
3/4 cup milk
For dipping:
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 T cinnamon
1/2 cup butter

How to make Monkey Bread recipe

Add the yeast to the warm water and set aside for five minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and form a dough. Set aside for thirty minutes.
Meanwhile,mix the dipping ingredients. From the dough form little balls,which are supposed to be uniform ,but since the kids helped ours are of different sizes. Dip them in the sugar-cinnamon mixture and place them in the baking form. Set aside covered with a kitchen towel.
Bake in the preheated oven and serve warm.
