Romanian sour soup with fish
Romanians love their sour soups, so there was no way of not making one with fish as well. I used mackerel, but carp would have been the best choice for this.
Ingredients for Romanian Sour Soup with Fish
3 pieces mackerel
2 celery ribs
2 green peppers
2 T rice
1 T tomato paste
1 T oil
How to prepare
Clean the fish and cut into pieces. Peel the veggies and cut into cubes.
Saute the onion in oil,add carrot and when soft add green pepper ,potato and celery.
Add tomato paste and water.
When veggies are boiled add fish,but don’t boil too long.
Add rice and tomatoes and when the soup is done add chopped fresh lovage and parsley.
Sour it with lemon juice.
